Oriented on making people closer

On March 30, a ceremonial celebration of the Novruz holiday — one of the most ancient festivals symbolizing spring, renewal, and harmony — was held in the capital of the Federal Republic of Germany, Berlin.

The event was organized through close cooperation between the diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. The celebration brought together members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of German federal ministries and agencies, as well as numerous residents and guests of Berlin.

As part of the event, national stands of the participating countries were presented, where guests had the opportunity to explore the rich historical heritage, traditions, and cultural values of the region. Particular interest was drawn to the stand of the Embassy of Turkmenistan, where visitors were introduced to unique elements of the national culture.

Guests became acquainted with traditional Turkmen costumes and learned more about the customs of the people and their rich cultural heritage. Informational materials were also presented on the Akhal-Teke horse, national Turkmen handwoven carpets, and traditional handicrafts, which are an integral part of the cultural identity of Turkmenistan.

The cultural program featured performances by artists from various countries. Guests enjoyed national music, dances, and songs reflecting the unique identity of the peoples of the region. Special attention was given to performances on the Turkmen dutar—a traditional musical instrument that holds an important place in the cultural life of the Turkmen people.

At the conclusion of the concert program, guests were treated to dishes of national cuisine. Visitors had the opportunity to taste traditional meals such as pilaf and other culinary specialties, which left a lasting impression and allowed them to experience the rich gastronomic traditions of Turkic peoples.

The celebration of Novruz in Berlin became not only a vibrant cultural event but also an important platform for strengthening friendship, mutual understanding, and intercultural dialogue among nations.
