Swire Coca-Cola Invests Millions of Dollars in Two New High-Tech Manufacturing Plants

Swire Coca-Cola, one of the world's largest beverage bottlers, has officially launched two major production centers. The new environmentally friendly and digitally advanced facilities were opened in China's Guangdong and Jiangsu provinces, strengthening the company's logistics network and improving supply capabilities for regional retail markets.

The first production base was inaugurated in Guangzhou. Investment in the project amounted to approximately 1.25 billion yuan (more than $184 million). Covering nearly 130,000 square meters, the plant is expected to increase annual production capacity in southern China by 66 percent.

The second manufacturing complex began operations in Kunshan, with total planned investment estimated at 2 billion yuan. Together, the two facilities are equipped with more than 20 modern production lines capable of producing over 100 beverage products across 20 different brands. This expansion will increase the company's overall production capacity in mainland China by 10 percent.

A key feature of the new plants is their focus on sustainability, digitalization, and intelligent manufacturing. Advanced technologies have been implemented to improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, optimize water resource management, and enhance waste recycling. All operational processes are coordinated through the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud-based big data systems, and artificial intelligence technologies.

For consumers and businesses, this move highlights an important industry trend: global food and beverage giants are investing in long-term modernization, product quality, and environmental sustainability. The growth of local production will help ensure a stable supply of popular beverages while expanding product choices across the market.
