Oriented on making people closer

A replica of the famous Eiffel Tower will appear in one of the villages of West Kazakhstan Region. The idea was proposed by graduates of a local school.

According to NUR.kz, residents of the village of Zhalpaktal in West Kazakhstan Region decided to bring a piece of France closer to their village by installing a copy of the Eiffel Tower. The 30-meter structure will be a gift from graduates of the local school.

It turned out that more than 10 years ago, a tradition began in the village. Graduates celebrating anniversary years since finishing school prepare a major gift for the village by May 25. Over the years, they have built several parks, playgrounds, sculptures, and a fountain. This time, they decided to aim for the world-famous tower.

“Opinions, of course, are divided. Some social media users believe that the remote village, located 300 kilometers from the regional center, needs more practical projects, such as road repairs. Others admit that without the tower, the village would hardly have become known throughout Kazakhstan,” NUR.kz quoted local media comments as saying.
