Turkmen textiles in Frankfurt set the stage for Ashgabat expo
16.01.2026 | 13:05 |At the beginning of the new year 2026, from January 13 to 16, the world’s largest international textile exhibition Heimtextile 2026 is taking place in Frankfurt am Main (Germany) at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition center. This leading annual global platform brings together manufacturers, designers, suppliers, and industry professionals, where trends are shaped, innovations are presented, and international business cooperation is strengthened.
To date, more than 3,000 exhibitors from over 65 countries have registered, representing a wide range of products — from interior and decorative textiles to materials for the hospitality and contract sectors. By the end of the exhibition, over 60,000 professional visitors from more than 117 countries are expected, confirming Heimtextile’s status as one of the key events in the global textile calendar.
Heimtextile 2026 unites leading industry companies, design studios, and experts, showcasing not only new collections, but also modern technological solutions, sustainable production approaches, and current directions in global market development.

The exhibition features active participation of enterprises subordinate to the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, presenting the potential and achievements of the national textile sector. Turkmenistan’s participation in one of the first major international industry events of the year takes place in the context of the national motto for 2026: “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” highlighting the importance of promoting national products and strengthening international cooperation.
The Turkmenistan stand showcases home textile products under the “Made in Turkmenistan” label, reflecting modern production standards and high quality. Special attention is given to one of the newest technologies used in the industry — digital textile printing, which allows colors, patterns, and complex designs to be applied directly onto fabric with high precision, durability, and creative flexibility. This technology opens new opportunities for design, customization, and product development.

Participation in Heimtextile 2026 provides an important platform for establishing new international contacts, discussing cooperation prospects, and promoting Turkmen textile products on the global market.
A natural continuation of this international dialogue will be TurkmenTextile Expo 2026, which will take place on June 4–6, 2026 in Ashgabat. The exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan together with TurkmenExpo and is aimed at developing export potential, attracting foreign partners, and strengthening international cooperation in the textile sector.
As Heimtextile 2026 approaches its conclusion, the attention of the professional community is increasingly turning toward Ashgabat — a city set to become a new meeting point for the international textile industry this summer.
